Q: WHAT WAS YOUR ORIGINAL GEAR WHEN YOU STARTED AS A PHOTOGRAPHER, AND WHEN DID YOU START UPGRADING YOUR EQUIPMENT?
Something Old, Something New and the upgrading between…
Since I was a teenager, I started shooting anyone that was willing to get in front of my camera, and I had a Pentax MX. A film camera. All Manual. (It was still the early 90’s after all).
One of the most amazing cameras I had so far. It was introduced in 1976 as a pro-caliber all-manual workhorse SLR camera! The quality of the photos was simply stunning.
I may have to confess that, like most of the photographers, I often fall in love with the newest, coolest equipment and gadgets, but at the same time I am so picky about it, that I have learned to control myself of what to buy and what not to, because I only want the best quality. Quality over quantity. Always.
Through the years I have used different brands, including Pentax, Canon, Nikon, and Sony. All of them are great cameras, and have great qualify. My preference for small “point-and-shoot” cameras is Canon. Most of them are a very powerful tiny cameras. But for my professional work, I am a Nikon girl. I love how it fits on my hands. I love the quality and the colours of the images.
My current camera is a Nikon D4.
